Introduction

Around 2 am on the 26th of October, explosions rocked Tehran and surrounding Iranian cities as Israel's long-awaited response to Iran's October 1st attacks occurred. The strikes have killed 4 Iranian military personnel and damaged Iranian factories, but more importantly, they come directly in the face of Iranian threats of retaliation if such an attack occurs. In events paralleled to those in April this year Iran and Israel continue to lessen the barriers between each other as a full-scale war looms for the entire Middle East.

October 1st

On October 1st this year, Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles against Israel in their largest direct strike upon Israel in the two states' history. The attack was launched in conjunction with Hezzbolah after on the 27th of September head of the military group, Nassaralah was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
