Introductory Note
Dear Readers,
It is with great pleasure that I share the third edition of “,” which I hope to publish every Tuesday. This edition includes Sebastião Alba’s poem “Disaster” and Anton’s short story “The Lawyer’s Moon.
Although these texts are distinct in form and narrative, they intertwine in a profound intellectual dialogue, exploring themes of tragedy and human misunderstanding under the veil of night.
We begin with “Disaster,” a poem that captures the concept of disaster in an abstract way, immersing in the emotional hues of the night. The night, with its varied colors and sensations, becomes a mirror to the variations of human experience, reflecting a universe of intense and transformative emotions.
In contrast, “The Lawyer’s Moon” by Anton unfolds a more concrete and intense narrative, where a tragic misunderstanding between lovers culminates in a crime, the true cause of which is left to each reader’s discernment.
This story not only captures the tragedy of shattered expectations but also provokes reflection on the consequences of impulsive actions and fatal misunderstandings.
