and other political experts have been sounding the alarm bells that Donald Trump is a danger to democracy in the United States. But what would the end of American democracy look like?Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) even went as far as to the American people that a vote for Trump “may mean the last election that you ever get to vote in.”Cheney said that “there’s no question” that Trump would refuse to leave the White House at the end of his hypothetical second term.Recently Cheney was asked on why she said it would be “the end of the Republic” if Trump won the presidency again.Cheney responded by saying “He’s told us what he will do…People who say ‘well if he’s elected it’s not that dangerous because we have all of these checks and balances’ uh don’t fully understand the extent to which the republicans in Congress today have been co-opted. One of the things that we see happening today is sort of a sleepwalking into dictatorship in the United States.”
