Having turned into a pounding war of attrition, the Ukraine war has taken on altogether new dimensions due to the deepened military collaboration between Moscow and Pyongyang.
North Korea’s tenuous economy-already hamstrung by international sanctions-is using its alliance with Russia to shore up strategic positions while supporting Moscow’s Ukraine campaign. This budding relationship involves trading in artillery shells, ballistic missiles, and even North Korean troops-a seeming escalation of the conflict at hand.Despite denials by Pyongyang and the evasive responses from the Kremlin, mounting evidence does seem to still exist that North Korea has sent military aid and personnel to Russia.
