My great-grandfather was a gold digger

He went to Yukon to do what was then called “the Klondike.” He almost lost his life several times. For several years he searched. He came back with a gold nugget. That is all he was able to bring back. Yet with this nugget, he was able to buy a blacksmith workshop. This trade allowed him to live well until his death.

What is a gold digger? He is willing to take risks. Someone very resourceful. Someone who thoroughly studies his prospecting projects. Someone who must constantly look for sources of capital to be able to prospect.

He works very hard, but what will his life be?

A fairy tale? What luck! His project is good, and someone believed in him!

A horror stories? He lost all the people who mattered in his life, because his adventure took them away from him.

A realistic achievement? He does not become rich but the expertise he has developed allows him to live well all his life.
