A review of both Trump and Biden’s foreign policies ahead of US elections.

November 5, 2024 will be a key date for the future of the world. On that day, elections will be held in the most influential country, with two completely opposite candidates. On the one hand we have former President Donald Trump (2017–2021), who is known for his unpredictability, risky policies and tendency to renege on previous commitments. And on the other hand, we have the current President Joe Biden (2021–2024), characterized by more traditionalist policies and for following the footsteps of his former President, Barack Obama.
Trump administration
The Trump administration stood out for its revision and rejection of American international commitments. It highlights the withdrawal from the UN Human Rights Council, regarding climate change, the withdrawal from the 2030 agenda of the Paris agreements, the proposal or threat that the United States would withdraw from NATO, in addition to multiple trade aggressions against the European Union who seemed to be more of an economic adversary than a valuable strategic ally, and the termination of WHO funding and also the withdrawal from the nuclear agreement with Iran.With this in mind, we can see that his four-year term was hectic, with many ups and downs and policy twists and turns.
