Should Students Be Socially Promoted To The Next Grade When They Are Failing?

Many failing students are pushed onto the next grade along with their peers who passed, and I believe this has hurt many of them.

Social promotion has been around for over a century and will continue as a crucial part of the system of schooling in America. Research suggests by Kathryn M. Doherty , “that promoting unprepared students does little to increase their achievement or life chances.”

Are children socially promoted in schools regardless of their academic performance around the world?According to research, Yes.
