On October 7th, 2023, Hamas carried out the largest mass murder of the Jewish People since the Holocaust. Using the Gaza Strip as a launching pad for terror, 3,000 Hamas terrorists crossed the border in a single blow, butchering civilians, raping women, and mutilating the corpses of the deceased. Some residents of Gaza upon hearing news of the Massacre, yet the ensuing war and destruction of the Gaza Strip makes me wonder: Had they had known what was yet to come, would they have celebrated?

The Children

I thought about this question yesterday when I decided to read the stories of the Israeli children that were murdered on October 7th. Approximately under the age of 18 were killed on that horrific day. Two were less than a year old.I read about one of the babies, , who was butchered in her mother’s arms when a terrorist entered their home and opened fire. The terrorist also killed Mila’s father, Ohad Cohen. Mila’s mother, Sandra Cohen, managed to escape alive after suffering a serious physical wound. The heart breaks when one thinks of the personal, emotional, and psychological wound that Mother Sandra will carry the rest of her life after witnessing the massacre of her husband and infant daughter.
