October 15th of the current year (2024) marks 180 years since the arrival into this world of a thinker with a free spirit, a possessor of the greatest love of life, and one of the strongest, most inspired, and healthiest minds ever to inhabit the fragile vessel of the human body.

To hold an meaningful celebration in his honor only on the anniversary of his birth would, of course, be a flawed celebration. A flawed celebration is one that makes us remember and appreciate cherished individuals only once a year. For those who love their friends and family or authors, it would seem inappropriate to think of them only on their birthdays.
