Life can be difficult, but it is not impossible. When events challenge my sanity, leaving me wanting to give up, I look at nature for reassurance — especially the trees. Trees take root and survive in the most difficult of places. This little guy didn’t know he wasn’t supposed to endure the heat of Arizona.I am reminded that during the hardest of times, if we wait patiently, the sun will shine its light, offering a beacon to direct our movements and guide our dreams.Loss is difficult; however, memories connect us to those who are gone. They tie us to our past. When my mom passed away, I cherished the memories of our time together because she was my foundation. When the bedrock washes away, lives are not completely lost if we tether ourselves to the past.
