Life can be difficult, but it is not impossible. When events challenge my sanity, leaving me wanting to give up, I look at nature for reassurance — especially the trees. Trees take root and survive in the most difficult of places. This little guy didn’t know he wasn’t supposed to endure the heat of Arizona.

I am reminded that during the hardest of times, if we wait patiently, the sun will shine its light, offering a beacon to direct our movements and guide our dreams.

Loss is difficult; however, memories connect us to those who are gone. They tie us to our past. When my mom passed away, I cherished the memories of our time together because she was my foundation. When the bedrock washes away, lives are not completely lost if we tether ourselves to the past.
