Take now a writing of your own,
it’s your essence
saffron
thyme
Around the world
reaching
rhyme
Enlightening words
brighten
mine.

This lil’ poem sums up how I feel about the poetry community that exists online on Medium. We are a supportive and kind community of young and old from (almost) every corner of this globe. Quite a nice phenomenon!

Note: A Zeno poem consists of a 10-line verse with a syllable count of each line of 8,4,2,1,4,2,1,4,2,1. The one-syllable lines rhyme.

Thank you for this challenge, Willow Schroeder and My Fair Lighthouse!
As well, thanks to Donna Cowden for her Zeno poem, “The Calming Melody of the Train,” linked below.

This bio belongs to two people. My younger self, who wrote poems before the founders of Medium were born, and my present self, who has begun writing again.
