Think deep thoughts and perform mighty deeds. Live life to its fullest and never look back. Take everything to the edge, gaze out confidently into the abyss, and know that you have squeezed every ounce of joy possible in life.The famous poet Dylan Thomas once famously wrote “Do not go gentle into that good night/Old age should burn and rave at close of day/Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” We all know that we are going to die, but try to delay our inevitable shuffle off of this mortal coil.Try to extract the last possible moments of joy, of love, of peace and harmony from your lives every single day as you live through them. We all have the capacity, but sometimes we lack the motivation, lose our way, or let things slide from apathy and indifference. It doesn’t have to be that way.Don’t let this happen to you. The truth is, although everybody realizes intellectually we will all reach the end of the road eventually, emotionally we don’t have to give up until the final moment overwhelms us.
