Nowhere can you go without running into Bias. Bias is everywhere. We often recognize it in other people, but if we are wise, we need to search it out in ourselves. If you don’t, you’re screwed.Bias can be as simple as your favorite flavor of ice cream or as seemingly complicated as your sexual orientation. Bias can strengthen your resolve, make you solid as a rock, and keep you closed-minded, cutting you off from new and exciting possibilities.However, Knowing your biases can help you navigate your thoughts and the world’s problems. Have you taken the time to examine your own Bias? Or are you so biased that you never think you are wrong?If you don’t identify and work on your own Bias, you are asking to be manipulated. Mass media, social media, and even normal activities can squeeze out intelligent, honest, respectful conversation. How can we tell if we are being manipulated if we are unaware of our biases?Most people are good and can be trusted. However, everyone is subject to manipulation.
