Brain Labs Submission Guidelines
Cheat sheet to pitching your ideas on Brain Labs
A request to writers
Before we get into the deets, a request. Please read this article carefully!
We sometimes get submissions articles in which it’s apparent writers are not reading these guidelines carefully. Don’t be that writer!
Also, on that topic …Please read the private notes thoroughly, especially the ones left by “Automated Inspector”.
We run a Python script called Automated Inspector on all submitted articles. It flags some low-hanging fruit, like titles in the wrong case. This script saves our editors hundreds of hours annually, so they can spend more time working with you on high-value editing. The script will leave some notes on your article when it runs. You don’t need to respond to each note, though you can if you like. Don’t rush through the notes. Read EACH sentence carefully. There are sometimes multiple actions required. It’s tedious for me to repeat the notes because that defeats the purpose! Please direct any questions about this…
