? If my stocks go up by $100,000 in value, I owe the government a hefty (25 percent) tax even if I haven’t sold my stocks. Oh, wait, that only applies to folks with a net worth of $100 million and more. Sorry. That’s totally fine. Kamala wants to make America greater yet. Let her go ahead and tax the rich. What sets America apart from other countries, as far as I can judge, is American people’s inexplicable desire to help someone succeed. I’ve been on the receiving end of their kindness many times. Where I come from, people love sharing one’s misery much more than sharing someone’s success.Someone wealthier than the rest (in my home country) is usually a blood sucker. If he (usually he) is obscenely wealthy, he’s an oligarch bound for perdition. Only justice behind bars can save him. However, if an oligarch becomes a politician, he’s really lost and beyond redemption. People condemn this upstart or, at best, feel sorry for him because, again, misery unites.
