If North Korea gets involved in the war in Ukraine, it could have a huge impact on global geopolitics and make the conflict much broader. Just providing weapons or military aid to a country at war doesn’t necessarily make that country a direct participant in the war. However, if a country’s military personnel fight alongside one of the warring parties, especially through a formal agreement between states, it can be considered an active participant in the conflict.It looks like North Korea is about to get involved in the Ukrainian war. If this is true, it could have a huge impact on the global balance of power and extend the conflict’s reach.Ukrainian military intelligence sources say that the Russian army is putting together a unit of 3,000 North Korean soldiers. It seems that these troops are currently undergoing training at military bases in Russia’s Far East before being deployed to the frontlines. One such training center is located in the Ulan-Ude region, near the Mongolian border. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been saying for days that North Korea is getting directly involved in the war.
