After countless number of events and territorial disputes, Israel and Palestine have reached the height of their differences. This October 7 (2023) the armed group Hamas from the Gaza Strip (Palestine) entered Israeli cities producing a massacre that ended with around 1200 dead and 200 hostages who were returned to the Gaza Strip. As expected, the Israeli response has been brutal, ruthless and bloody. So far, more than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 8,000 have disappeared.As if that were not enough, the incursion of the Hebrew country towards Rafah has been the straw that broke the camel’s back, since it is a strategic enclave that allowed the entry of international aid to the Palestinian people. This has generated a popular reaction in Europe and the United States in the form of protests, boycotts and demonstrations in favor of the Palestinians and in favor of the dissolution of the conflict.This article is not intended to take sides, but to report on the conflict and on these university demonstrations that have sprung up around the world.The United States, as pioneers of encampments inside universities as a form of protest, have provided a guide and a path to follow for European university students who feel the same way.
