Thousands of protesters have attended a “silent” pro-Palestine march through the Scottish capital of Edinburgh this Saturday.The event began at the foot of the Mound near the National Art Gallery and continued along Market Street, returning to the Mound later for a series of speeches from committee leaders.The march was led by a piper and several men carrying a “symbolic” coffin draped in a Palestinian flag and covered with flowers. A group of protesters also carried a list of the names of victims of the conflict written across a large sheet of fabric.The Edinburgh Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee have stated that the march would: “echo a funeral procession to grieve the hundreds of thousands believed to have been killed.
